Bluetooth (Android Auto) Troubleshooting

1. There’s an issue with the sound on Android Auto.

2. I’m encountering an error when using specific apps on Android Auto.

AA(Android Auto) If a specific app is not functioning smoothly, it is usually due to issues with the phone's app settings and management. Follow the steps below to check and disable battery optimization, resolve permission issues, and more.

2-1. Check the settings for the specific app you’re using.

You need to check the battery optimization and permission settings for that specific app.

STEP01 Search your app in the settings â–¶ App Info

STEP02 Go to Permissions â–¶ Allow all permission

STEP03 This time, go to Battery â–¶ Choose "Unrestricted"

3. Android Auto is not possible or Bluetooth connection is unstable

if Android Auto is not possible, please update the firmware to the latest version >

If there’s no response after connecting AutoPro X to Bluetooth or Android Auto is not possible, check the following:

3-1. Check if your phone supports Android Auto

Ensure your phone supports Android Auto. Check Google’s supported Android version (Android 6.0 or higher).

3-2. Clear Android Auto’s data

STEP02 Tab "Storage" â–¶Clear Data & Clear Cache

3-3. Wireless Android Auto Setup

Ensure that wireless Android Auto is enabled in the Android Auto app. Enable wireless Android Auto as follows:

STEP02 Android Auto â–¶ Startup â–¶ Start Android Auto automatically â–¶ Set to 'Always'

STEP03 Android Auto â–¶ Tap the 'Version' 10 times â–¶ Enable Developement Settings

STEP04 Top right 'More' â–¶ Developer Settings â–¶ Enter Developer Settings

STEP05 Developer Settings â–¶ Check Wireless Android Auto

4. No Internet Connection

If Android Auto connects but there’s no internet, check the following:

4-1. Disable Power Saving Mode

STEP02 Wi-Fi â–¶ Top right 'More' â–¶ Intelligent Wi-Fi â–¶ Wi-Fi Power Saving Mode â–¶ Disable

4-2. Allow Mobile Data

STEP01 In Intelligent Wi-Fi â–¶ Switch to Mobile Data â–¶ Network Exceptions

STEP02 Network exceptions â–¶ Delete registered AutoPro X

5. Bluetooth Connection Issues

If you have Bluetooth connection issues, try one of the following methods:

5-1. Delete Bluetooth and Reconnect

STEP01 Phone â–¶ Settings â–¶ Connections â–¶ Bluetooth

STEP02 Bluetooth â–¶ Registered AutoPro X Details â–¶ Unregister

STEP03 Bluetooth â–¶ Search â–¶ Re-register AutoPro (AutoProX-XXXX)

5-2. Reset Device

If the product is not functioning properly, reset it via the app. Resetting the device will clear the following:

  • App default settings

  • Wi-Fi channel settings

  • AutoPro X settings
